Sudha Ramalingam, MD, PGDBE, MHPE (UK), Dip IBLM
Sudha Ramalingam is the Professor and Head of Community Medicine, Director, Research and Innovation and Director, PSG FAIMER Regional Institute at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore and a visiting scientist in the division of global health at Harvard T H Chan school of Public Health, USA.
She holds an MD in Community Medicine, a PG Diploma in Bioethics and a Masters in Health Professions Education from Keele University, UK. She has completed her postdoctoral fellowships in genetics and genetic epidemiology from Stanford and University of Chicago respectively. She was a Fulbright visiting scientist and worked in the area of Environmental Epigenetics of metabolic syndrome at Harvard School of Public Health in 2014-15.
She has completed her FAIMER fellowship in medical education in 2012 and was awarded the International Fellowship in Medical Education (IFME, FAIMER) in 2017. She received her board certification in lifestyle medicine in 2023.
She has been successful in obtaining several National and International grants and is on the board of studies for public and private universities. With over 60 peer reviewed publications, her areas of research interests include Environmental health focusing on NCDs, adolescent lifestyle intervention programs and Ethics and Medical Humanities education.
